I just got settled in with my new Mac Pro. Custom built with 2 GB of ram and a ATI X1900 XT holding 512MB of video ram which is connected to a Dell 24” monitor.
Ridiculous, is the only word that comes to mind when I use this machine. I installed a couple of games to see how they run and monitor the CPU utilization. I found that at peak, one core is running between 20% and 30%. Most of the time it’s less then that.
I also installed the Microsoft .NET Development stack in Parallels Desktop and it’s faster then any of the desktops I’ve used at work.
